Married to Cindy with 2 beautiful children: Amanda and Amos. Living in Penang, Malaysia and has been a full time internet marketer since 2001. Prior to that, was attached to Dell Computer for a duration of 6.5 years. Was the pioneer in setting up the Dell’s manufacturing facility in Bayan Lepas Penang in 1995.
Alvin Cheong is also a founding member and currently the President of Penang E-Community Club (PECC), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) legally registered with the Malaysian Registrar of Societies (ROS). PECC is also a non-profit organization formed recently with a few friends and volunteers with the main objective of creating awareness to the general public on the importance of the e-commerce elements in the internet.
Besides, PECC is also conducting free internet marketing mentoring program to train the community to take advantage of the internet to improve their lives financially. Eventually, we are hoping that we could have a real e-community in Penang where many people could actually make a living out of the internet.
Unlike the commercial internet marketing courses out there, the mentoring program in PECC is conducted fully by volunteers for a duration of 4~5 months, just to cover the basic of internet marketing. It is a hand-holding and mentoring program where participants will be taught from grounds-up step-by-step until their online business is established. This Internet Marketing mentoring program has been conducted since May 2008 and in just 12 months, more than 300+ people have participated.
